Artwork Specifications

Color Mode: CMYK

All files must be submitted in CMYK color mode, not RGB. This ensures colors print accurately.

Why CMYK? Printers use Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks. RGB colors (used for screens) will shift when converted.

Resolution: 300 DPI

All images should be at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) at the final print size for crisp, clear printing.

Low Resolution? Images from websites are typically 72 DPI and will appear blurry when printed.

Bleeds: 1/8" (0.125")

If your design goes to the edge of the paper, you need a bleed area. Extend your design 1/8" (0.125") beyond the cut line on all sides.

Flatten Layers (Photoshop)

Photoshop files must be flattened before submitting to print. This merges all layers into one.

Menu: Layer → Flatten Image

Outline Fonts (Illustrator)

Illustrator files must have all fonts converted to outlines. This prevents font substitution issues.

Menu: Type → Create Outlines

Separate Files for Each Side

For double-sided projects, please provide a separate file for each side (front and back).

Name files clearly: businesscard_front.pdf and businesscard_back.pdf

Multi-Page Documents

For brochures, catalogs, and multi-page documents, please submit as a multi-page PDF with each panel as a separate page.
